An iconic drink favoured by James Bond and endorsed by Ernest Hemmingway in his book A Farewell to Arms where he proclaims “I’ve never tasted anything so cool and clean...They make me feel civilized,” martinis take centre stage in the new cocktail menu at Jade on 36. Expect a selection of over 25 curated martinis ranging from light and refreshing to coffee-infused recipes and sweet treats, reimagined with unexpected flavours, alongside a selection of classic cocktails and indulgent nibbles.

For guests seeking refreshing flavours, The Fresh & Fruity series comprises deliciously fruity concoctions such as the Fresh No. 2, made with Tanqueray gin, mandarin orange, dragonfruit, grapefruit juice and sugar syrup and the Fresh No. 5 with Ketel One vodka, passion fruit, passion fruit syrup, orange curacao and a dash of lime.

The Light & Elegant range combines light and refreshing flavours with fruity notes. Embrace one’s feminine side with the Elegant No. 1 comprising Belvedere vodka, triple sec, raspberry, peach, raspberry syrup, lemon juice and topped with gummy bears or delight in the Elegant No. 4, a classy concoction of London No. 1 gin, apple liqueur, lychee, sugar syrup and a touch of lemon juice.

For the adventurous drinkers, the Herbal range boasts unique botanical accompaniments for an unexpected twist. Highlights include the Herbal No. 2 with a mix of Tanqueray No. 10 gin, chamomile tea, lemon and sugar syrup and the Herbal No. 3 starring The Botanist Gin lifted with thyme, elderflower-infused syrup and lemon juice.

For sweet treats to titillate, the Liquid Desserts section will be a favourite with Dessert No. 1 combining 42 Below Vodka with Baileys, caramel, chocolate and cream for a decadent treat or the Dessert No. 2, which beckons with Ketel One vodka, crème de cacao, salted caramel, peanut butter for an extra indulgent treat.

Not forgetting the caffeine addicts, the Coffee & Tea series provide the evening pick-me-up you need in more ways than one. A shot of espresso goes a long way in the C&T No. 1 with Ketel One vodka, amaretto, kahlua and topped with coffee beans. For matcha lovers, the C&T No. 3 is a winning combination of Tanqueray No. 10 gin shaken with matcha powder, honey and lemon juice. Not to be missed, the C&T No. 4 is an intriguing concoction of Beefeater 24 gin, grapefruit juice, honey and a strong dose of earl grey tea.

Combined with spectacular views of the iconic Bund and the dazzling Shanghai skyline and enthralling live performances by talented vocalists make this a lively venue to indulge in sunset cocktails and late night drinks.
