Fasching is the name for the carnival season in South Germany. It starts every year on November 11, at 11:11 a.m. and continues for a few months, while the peak of the celebration happens in the last six days of this so called “Foolish Season”, typically occurring in February or early March. During these highly anticipated days, people dress up in fanciful costumes and revel in boisterous parties to release themselves.
This year, on Saturday, February 25, 2017, the annual Fasching costume party of Paulaner Bräuhaus Shanghai will be held for the very first time at Paulaner @ Expo – the largest outlet among all Paulaner branches in Shanghai located in a renovated former distillery alongside Shibo Avenue.
An extensive and delicious All-You-Can-Eat buffet featuring German cuisine alongside traditional Fasching favorites will be served to dressed up partiers. Meanwhile, free flow of Paulaner Beer, house wine, selected long drinks and non-alcoholic beverages will be included all night long!
In addition, Paulaner’s favorite live Filipino band “Hype” will delight the crowd with rousing German “Schlager” songs mixed up with their widespread repertoire of lively international hits to create a perfect party mood.
And last but not least, one of the most important parts of Fasching is masquerading, and thus Paulaner @ Expo will be giving away great prizes for the best costumes!
Tickets need to be purchased in advance. The price per person is RMB 328.
