Grand Brasserie, Waldorf Astoria Description

The Grand Brasserie offers a chic yet casual all-day dining experience within the stately ambience of Shanghai's most prestigious hotel. True to its setting, the brasserie menu juxtaposes the flavors of East and West with a fresh, contemporary flair.

The Grand Brasserie anchors the ground floor of the Waldorf Astoria Tower, encircled by the vibrant Peacock Alley on the mezzanine level. Lavish marble columns and countertops, polished wood tables and cushioned lounges and banquettes re-create a modern Manhattan brasserie setting inspired by the original Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Guests can observe chefs at work in the long exhibition kitchen, enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the wine alcove and sip a cappuccino at the barista bar. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook an interior courtyard garden, providing a sense of peaceful retreat in urban Shanghai.

For more private gatherings, two stunning private rooms are available, each seating up to 10 guests. Two additional private dining areas in the wine cellar are perfect for wine tastings and intimate dinners.
