Tai Loong Fai Kee, who not just moved the paraphernalia of Hong Kong seafood, but created an epitome of the whole city.

In many Hong Kong movies, it is always a freeze-frame of the camera when numerous seafood bistros are opening for business under dazzling neon lights. Its significance to Hong Kong is tantamount to that of Shanghai’s Bund, a visual symbol behooved with its culture, foods and stories disseminating to the whole world.

However, for foodies, street seafood is utmost a lingering thought, for it would be out of the question to fly there just to satisfy your craving stomach. Now you don’t have to!

Disguised as a typical HK street flanked with stationery store, snack shop, tea shop, doctor masseuse shop, barber shop with all kinds of neon lights, street signs and shop brand logos, Tai Loong Fai Kee is a newly opened restaurant in Shanghai featuring restoration of the very HK classics!

Among all the signs, the most eye-catching is ‘Tai Loong Fai Kee Seafood’ at the seafood area, under which you may find Sri Lankan crabs, emperor crabs, razor crabs, tiger shrimp, to name just a few… all freshly imported from all over the world.

The restaurant boasts Hong Kong's top ten classical seafood delicacies, such as Typhoon Shelter Crab, Gigantic Tiger Prawn that has the size of a hand. Imperial Crab prepared in two-way-tasting is a must order dish. Aside from seafood, there are many other Cantonese dishes that are delicious and worthy of ordering as well.
