Bright and airy during the day, this little cafe owned by Camden Hauge (of Shanghai Supperclub) has a menu of brunch-oriented dishes like avocado toast, rice waffles, hash browns, okonomiyaki and more. Much of the food includes eggs, but an egg can also be added to any dish for an extra RMB8.
Every Thursday, Egg plays holds a chef's table for just ten diners, hosted by a guest chef who cooks a tailor-made multi-course dinner. So far the lineup is pretty impressive, including Austin Hu (of Madison restaurant), and Scott Melvin (of Commune Social).
