On April 9 and 10, Young Bar said goodbye to Sanya with a two-day closing party. Long-time customers and friends gathered to wish Yang Kun well as he moves on from this chapter of business in Sanya.
Young Bar has fed the international community a variety of Western-inspired food for four years and weathered the storm of Covid-19 last year by passing out free masks to the foreign expat community.

Yahaira Vargas, a frequent tourist in Sanya, was shocked to hear the news. “There goes the best quesadillas.” Vargas often visits Sanya to relax or to stir up networking for ECC Expat Community China, a space for new foreigners to interact and share and become a part of supportive community groups.
Sandie Morrison, a resident of Sanya, said, “We really are going to miss Young Bar. It was our Sunday favorite after a day at the beach. We could bring our dog, sit outside and relax. It was such a chill place.”
When asked about the closing and a memory to share, Yang said, “Too many memories…” and yet he was hopeful. “All will be better.” He appreciates the attention to Young Bar’s farewell and is thankful for all friends who have come to wish him well.
