In order to cooperate with the prevention and control of the epidemic situation in the Yuexiu district of Guangzhou, the municipal transportation department has decided to implement the following temporary control measures on public transportation from March 10.
Yuexiu Park Metro Station entrance C (near the Liuhua Exhibition Hall), Guangzhou Railway Station No.6 entrances and exits (mainly D1 and D2 to the west of the railway station square), D4 entrance and exit of Cotton Tree Garment City and E, G, H entrances and exits of One Horse Clothing City.
Other entrances and exits of the above two stations are open as normal.
There are also closures to several bus routes, listed in the picture below (Chinese).
Several buildings on Yue Hua Road, Yuexiu district have also been closed off.
Guangdong Television and Radio today reported that the city “is not ruling out an increase in COVID-19 numbers after a woman who visited what are now 22 possible exposure sites across Guangzhou tested positive for the virus on March 8.”
The confirmed case traveled between Panyu, Yuexiu, Liwan, Tianhe and Baiyun districts over a two day period from March 5-7.
The city has conducted over 300,000 nucleic acid tests of press time, one of which has returned positive.
