Are you on the fence about which phone to buy next? Perhaps the latest video by Zhuhai kids singing group Zhoudan Children’s Singing Classroom will help to convince you to snag the new Huawei Mate X foldable phone, or something similar.

The Guangdong-based group released the video entitled ‘Huawei Mei,’ or ‘Huawei, the Beautiful’ in English, on their official WeChat account on Monday, February 25.

While ostensibly not a project commissioned by Huawei, the singing group are pretty convincing when it comes to lines like: “Teacher tells me to love my country, and to love our domestic brand Huawei! Huawei is good, Huawei is beautiful, Huawei wins glory for our country!” and “Which is the most beautiful phone in the world? Everyone says Huawei!”

Watch Zhoudan's cute rendition below (VPN off):

Amongst the tune’s songwriters are Li Yourong, a famous military poet who has previously contributed songs in support of the People’s Liberation Army, and Zheng Lengheng, who is a celebrated children’s music writer who has been honored with multiple governmental awards for his previous works.

Previously, Huawei has gained the support of a number of domestic companies in its ongoing battle against the likes of Apple. Most notable amongst them was the decision by Menpad to offer employees subsidies on any Huawei items that they purchased.

Netizen opinion is torn on the video, with some condemning the use of young kids to sing the praises of a telecommunications company: “Don’t give this kind of commercial hype to elementary school students, and don’t use students as tools,” wrote one Weibo user. Others, however, are more positive about the song’s theme, with one user writing: “These teachers taught me to love the motherland and the domestic mobile phone company Huawei.”
