Wed-Sat, Dec 5-8: Art Box Fair

Get a head start to the holiday season with the Art Box Fair, offering food, drink and fine crafts from around the world. The fair will be held at the Poly Clover Plaza in Tianhe District. You'll find yourself tasting fine French wines, German sausages and pickles, Mexican sauces from La Costena, Di Martino Italian pasta and baked goods from Kishamoto & Ina, Daniel and Maiye Artisanal Bakery. For those interested in the artisanal experience, check out leather goods from local brand Piqi and fine European porcelain by Lladro and Spode. Do your holiday shopping to the tune of live music by award-winning band 42 km, who are playing twice daily during the fair.

Thu-Sun, Dec 6-16: Chicago the Musical

Fri, Dec 7: Annual Aussie Gathering – Christmas White Party
The Aussie community in Guangzhou is throwing a white color-themed Christmas party at LN Garden Hotel and invites you to join their annual gathering. Expect a Christmas-themed buffet, wine, beer, grand prizes and more.

Fri-Sat, Dec 7-8: TNT Theater Britain – Macbeth

Founded in 1980, TNT Theatre Britain quickly established itself as one of the most renowned touring theater companies in the world. On this visit, the celebrate ensemble will present one of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies: the one and only Macbeth.

Fri-Sun, Dec 7-9: Heel’s Kitchen

A cheeky play on Hell’s Kitchen, a popular American reality show hosted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, Heel’s Kitchen will be the Grand Hyatt Guangzhou’s first-ever female-only culinary event. While men are allowed to attend the event, you won’t find any in the kitchen – all the dishes are prepared by talented female chefs. The culinary event will run from December 7 to 9 and feature an array of different activities and meals for hungry Guangzhouers to enjoy, including daily cooking classes, VIP lunches and dinners and three tantalizing afternoon teas, all helmed by one of seven female Hyatt chefs or a surprise celebrity chef.

Sat-Sun, Dec 8-9: Strawberry Music Festival
Strawberry Music Festival, taking place at Chimelong Paradise in Panyu, features a vast array of musicians ranging from sought-after hip-hoppers to ethnic singers. Highlight acts include Scottish post-punk band Franz Ferdinand, Taiwanese aboriginal singer Hu Defu and Chaoshan folk band Wutiaoren, among many others.

Sat-Sun, Dec 8-9: Kendal Mountain Festival
The Kendal Mountain Festival - a leading global adventure film festival - is coming to Guangzhou this week. All month: Casserole Delicacies at Ming Court

A selection of heart-warming Cantonese classic casserole dishes created by Chef Chau. The casserole specialties menu features prize delicacies such as sea cucumber, abalone, fish maw and grouper, among other ingredients, which are prepared using time-honored methods. Highlighted dishes include poached fish maw in pumpkin soup, braised fresh turbot in clay pot, and braised assorted seafood and bean curd in clay pot.

Tue & Thu, Ongoing: Girls Night Out at Roof Top Bar
