Van Crushed by Falling Crane in Guangdong, 7 Dead

Seven are dead in Puning, Guangdong province, after a roadside construction crane collapsed onto a passing van, according to a report published by Tencent News.

The terrifying incident, which occurred at around 6pm yesterday (July 11), resulted in the immediate dispatch of first responders, including police, medical personnel and the fire department.

Three injured persons – including two children – were pulled from the crushed vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital.

The reason for the crane’s failure is currently unknown and local authorities are further investigating the incident.
