Chili – that delicious and hearty meal that sticks unconditionally to your ribs. It’s tasty and it comes in numerous varieties with all manner of ingredients. Depending on the chef, it may come with meat – or no meat, heat – or mild and sweet. With such a wide array of possible ingredients, creating a truly delicious chili is something of an art form.
Now, you may be reading this and thinking, "I’m a chili master, these guys don’t know what they are talking about." Well hey hotshot, time to put your money where your mouth is and sign up for this year’s Chili Cook-Off! The event will take place on Saturday, May 13, at the legendary McCawley’s Irish Pub.
If last year's event is any indication, the cook-off will undoubtedly be one of the year’s most memorable culinary events. There is no entry fee to participate and sampling the goods is a measly RMB100 and includes drink vouchers, nacho chips and salsa, cornbread, a voting slip and a chance at the lucky draw. Oh, and you get to eat a pile of chili!
Still not convinced it will be a good time? Click here to see out photographic recap of last year’s festivities.
Tasting and voting starts at noon and prizes will be awarded at 3pm!
