Pandan’s JSL Location the Latest 2016 Restaurant Closure

2016 appears to have no intention of leaving quietly, first it was Bowie, then Harambe and now this: no more seafood curry laksa on Jianshe Liu Malu. That’s right, it’s a sad day for Taojin-area lovers of Southeast Asian cuisine, what with the recent closure of Pandan Indonesian Cuisine’s Jianshe Liu Malu location

The restaurant’s shuttering is just a drop in the very large – and very full – bucket of F&B closures to hit Guangzhou this year – from Tekila closing up shop, to the more recent announcement that The Butcher Shop will be closing at the end of this month.

Staff at Pandan’s Huanshi Dong Lu location were tight-lipped about the chain’s JSL closure but were able to assure us it's still business as usual at the Huanshi Dong Lu and Xingsheng Lu restaurants.
