The cruise ship news just never seems to cease in the PRD, first it was new routes, then it was a party cruise and now it's an entirely new luxury cruise line.
Dream Cruises debuted its inaugural ship, Genting Dream, at the Guangzhou Travel Trade Show on Tuesday for a crowd of over 300 partners and media representatives. The new cruise line is being hailed as “Asia’s first-ever luxury cruise line” and its first ship will be based out of Guangzhou’s Nansha District.
While the ship itself was not physically shown to the public (a boat that size is hard to get inside a convention center), guests were able to check out interactive displays and presentations that profiled the new ship’s many features and services.
“I am delighted to show to you all today what our valued guests can look forward to when they set sail on Genting Dream,” said Dream Cruises President Mr. Thatcher Brown to an audience of trade show attendees. “We are very proud of our inaugural cruise ship and believe it offers our discerning guests the ultimate in onboard entertainment, luxury and enriching experiences.”
The new vessel will host 35 restaurants and bar concepts, premier accommodation options, five-star entertainment and even butlers. Destinations being promoted at the event were limited to Hong Kong and Vietnam, but we expect more will be announced in the months to come.
The Genting Dream will officially launch in November of this year, with its sister ship, World Dream, set to debut in November 2017.
