Based on Shakespeare’s namesake play, French musical Roméo et Juliette has gone on stages throughout Europe and translated into many languages. The brainchild of French choreographer Redha Benteifour, with music and lyrics by prestigious composer Gérard Presgurvic, this production has entertained audiences with some excitement in the plot: the nature of the lovers’ death is different, new characters such as Death and the Poet are introduced.
