I recently had the chance to try out Charlie's Panyu Bar and Grill, and while the food was OK, I couldn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked. The biggest issue I had with the restaurant was the fact that smoking was allowed in the small dining and bar area while my family members were eating. As a non-smoker, it was incredibly frustrating to have to inhale second-hand smoke while trying to enjoy my meal. Despite this, the food at Charlie's Panyu did not seem to match the ratings. I tried their burger and fries, which were both cold and it tasted a little like burger king. The burger was too salty and a bit over-seasoned for my taste, and the fries were cold, as if our meals had been lying around. I did, however, appreciate the fact that the portion sizes were decent, considering the price of the meals. However, the smoking situation really put a damper on the overall dining experience. From now until July 28, the 4th floor of Azul by fuel will be closed and upgraded, only the 5th floor and VIP rooms are open to the public, and the business hours will be 17:30-01:00, during which only drinks and some snacks will be provided. The upgrade will be completed by August 1 and will officially open to the public, so stay tuned!
