From October 1 to 3, the 2025 International Beer and Food Festival will take place at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center, presenting a dynamic blend of beer culture, Lingnan cuisine, live music, and urban art.

Designed as one of the signature cultural events of the National Day Golden Week, the festival offers citizens and visitors an immersive experience of celebration and leisure.

Organisers described the festival as both a key cultural highlight and a practical initiative to stimulate the economy, boost consumption, and benefit the public.

With its theme of ‘beer + food + culture + performance’, the event aims to create a new ‘Baiyun name card’ that promotes integration of culture, business, tourism, and entertainment while energising regional consumption.

During the opening ceremony, government and corporate representatives jointly inaugurated the festival, with strategic partners signing on-site agreements that underscored the strong industrial and cultural resources behind the initiative.

The festival brings together leading beverage brands, including Zhujiang Beer, Harbin Beer, and Wanglaoji, while themed pavilions combine beer with gourmet pairings and interactive tasting challenges.

By linking surrounding commercial districts, neighbourhoods, and universities, the event seeks to drive Golden Week consumption momentum and enrich the holiday economy.

Beyond brand showcases, a lively bazaar adds social vibrancy to the experience.

Enterprises are provided a platform to connect directly with consumers, while event promotion extends across media and digital channels, including Douyin and Xiaohongshu, ensuring broad visibility and targeted outreach.

Immersive highlights include ‘Sunset Brewery’ and ‘Tipsy Park’, where visitors can enjoy craft brews, creative cocktails, and a relaxed social setting against the backdrop of Baiyun’s night skyline.

These atmospheric spaces are designed as chill-out hubs for friends, photo opportunities, and social encounters.

On the performance stage, musicians, singers, and DJs from the Greater Bay Area will deliver an energetic lineup, keeping the festival alive with beats from dusk to night.

The vibrant programming underlines Baiyun District’s youthful and fashionable appeal, offering festival-goers both entertainment and a sense of community.

Admission is RMB38, which covers access to beer, food, and live performances.

Visitors holding tickets for popular theatre productions at Baiyun International Convention Center — including Butterfly Lovers and Mahua FunAge: Earl of Oolong Mountain — can also use them for entry to the festival, combining stage culture with food and drink enjoyment.

The venue itself, Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center, plays a central role in empowering the city’s cultural landscape.

Operated under Lingnan Group, it is a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and one of South China’s leading integrated complexes.

With over 450,000 square metres of space, more than 100 meeting rooms, 1,100 guestrooms, and the capacity to host 10,000 delegates, the center serves as a premier destination for government, business, and cultural events.

By continuously introducing new products, scenes, and formats, the convention center is positioning itself as a cultural and tourism hub, driving Guangzhou’s economic and cultural development.
