According to China Economic Net, government agencies, businesses and public institutions in Shenzhen returned to work on Monday, following the easing of lockdown restrictions. 

Public transport and private vehicles have also been permitted to restart operations. 

Some businesses and other enterprises in parts of the Futian district are yet to return to normal, in-office working arrangements.  

The city went into a full city-ide lockdown on March 14 which lasted for seven full days.

Lockdown was lifted after the city underwent three rounds of nucleic acid testing over the week-long lockdown.

The last round of testing was conducted on Sunday, March 20 and the city reported 44 new local COVID-19 cases which were both confirmed or asymptomatic. 

"The COVID-19 prevention and control situation in the city remains grim, but generally under control," said Huang Qiang, deputy secretary-general of the Shenzhen municipal government.

In some residential communities and villages a negative nucleic acid test taken with 48-hours is required for entry and exit.
