M+ is located in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong, China. It took 15 years from preparation to opening and is the largest museum in Hong Kong. With a total area of 65,000 square meters and 17,000 square meters of exhibition space, the M+ building has 33 exhibition halls with more than 8,000 pieces, among which about 1,500 pieces will be displayed first in the opening exhibition.
M+ held an opening ceremony on November 11 and officially opened to the public on December 12.
The M+ Museum is free to visitors from all over the world for the first year from opening day.
