Korean Air vice president Heather Cho has resigned from her position after she ordered the cabin crew chief to deplane from from her Seoul-bound flight, forcing the aircraft to return to the gate after it was already taxiing to the runway at New York's JFK Airport.

Cho dismissed the air steward after he served her macadamia nuts without first asking, breaching company protocol. As the head of in-flight services, Cho, also the eldest daughter of chairman Cho Yang-ho, went nuts over the employee's sub-standard service and roasted him on the in-flight service manual.

When it turned out his nut-handling know-how was hazel at best, Cho dismissed him and ordered the Airbus A380 jumbo jet to return to the gate so he could deplane.

Cho, however, had bitten off more than shea could cashew. A pistachio of public outrage and indignation has arisen in response the nut-case, imbued with opposition to the perceived sense of privilege prevalent amongst the country's ruling families. The airline's pilots union has also come out to condemn Cho's behavior.

40-year-old Cho's resignation was accompanied by an official apology from the national carrier, and a pledge to do betel by their employees and customers in the future.

Luckily for Cho the Elder, two of his other children are still executives at the airline.
