Video of a young boy attacking his grandmother with a water bottle has gone viral on the Chinese web.

According to Sina, the woman had just picked up her grandson from school in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, and the two were heading home when he flew into a rage and attacked her with his thermos. When she tried to take the bottle from him, the "little emperor" became even more incensed and started slapping and kicking her.

Shanghaiist translated some comments on the video:

"What kind of parents would raise this type of child? It serves them right!"

"Spoiling is very common, especially from grandparents. Many young parents are very upset as they know it's not good but they have no idea about how to fix it. I face asimilar situation. When I try to teach my child, the older generation gets so irritated. What should I do?"

"80 percent chance that the parents weren't good children themselves. They set bad examples for the kids little by little."
