7 Dead in Jiangsu Factory Blast, 5 Wounded

At 7.12am on Sunday morning, March 31, an explosion at a metal factory in Jiangsu province took the lives of seven people and injured five others as of press time. The incident occurred at Handing Precision Metal Co. in Kunshan, Jiangsu.

According to local media outlet in Kunshan, Kunshan Fabu, the blast came from a container used to store scrap metal, which caused a nearby workshop to catch fire. An investigation is currently underway.

This latest explosion comes merely 10 days after 78 people perished in a chemical factory explosion in the same province.
