Here's How Much Tickets for Shanghai's New Ocean Park Will Cost

If you're a fan of massive ocean-themed parks, then you're in luck. According to a report by Netease, the highly anticipated Haichang Ocean Park just announced its ticket prices. When it opens, it will be the world's largest ocean park.

The regular ticket price is RMB330, while a visit during weekends, summer vacation and holidays is priced at RMB399. Kids between 1m and 1.4m tall, senior visitors over 65 years old and those with disabilities are eligible for concession tickets at RMB190 on regular days and RMB249 on peak days.

In light of its opening, a 10 percent concession is granted to all visitors who visit the park in 2018. This policy implies a 2018 opening, but the exact date is still being discussed.

It's been four years since the Haichang Ocean Park project was announced, and its dazzling amenities and ambitious scale have captured public imagination ever since. Located in the Lingang New City in Pudong, the 300,000 square-meter theme park will contain animal exhibition pavilions housing approximately 500 species of marine creatures, including emperor penguins, polar bears and white whales. There are also two high-tech cinemas, three animal theaters as well as 12 entertainment attractions across the park.

As the theme park developers suggest, the trial run and official opening dates will be announced soon after testing results and construction on the nearby infrastructure are evaluated.
