Here's a Creepy Video of Trump Speaking Chinese via AI

So here's probably the creepiest thing you'll watch today: Donald Trump speaking Chinese (VPN off):

But don't worry, he hasn't decided to sign up for USD75,000 Mandarin lessons to compete with granddaughter Arabella. (Not that we know of, anyway).

Instead, this video has been made using technology from Chinese company iFlytek. According to the Global Times, iFlytek's speech synthesis technology has been used to simulate US president's voice speaking in Chinese. Cool?

The video was presented at an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference in Beijing this week.

It's not the first time iFlytek has experimented with making a US leader speak Putonghua. Here's a video of Obama "addressing" the press from a video posted by the company earlier this year.
