China plans to add 136 new airports by 2025.

The number of civil airports in the country will increase to 260 by 2020, up from 207 in 2015. These new airports will make travel easier to China's third-tier cities.

Civil aviation is a growing industry in China. In 2015, the civil aviation sector recorded a total profit of RMB54.8 billion, an increase of 76.2 percent from the previous year.

China began making a big push towards building more airports in 2008.

The total number of airline passengers is expected to grow to 2.2 billion by 2025 — up from 910 million in 2015.

Hopefully this means fewer flight delays?
