Yellow Alert Issued for Heat Wave Scorching Beijing

Summer is here and it's a blazing hot one. So hot, in fact, that Beijing issued a yellow alert early on Thursday morning, following the heat wave that's currently been burning up the capital and most regions in Tianjin and Hebei. The weather alert is in effect through July 2. This wouldn't be the first time, with unusually high temperatures reported last April

In efforts to keep themselves protected, locals and tourists broke out their sun umbrellas and loosely covered themselves with extra layers, as reported by the Global Times. We're sure there were Beijing bikinis abound but they didn't quite make the gallery cut.
