Is Bruno Mars Coming to China?

OK, OK, don’t get too excited. Nothing’s official yet, but it looks like superstar Bruno Mars might actually be headed to China in April.

According to this performance license issued by the Beijing government, Bruno Mars is slated to visit China from April 19-26. And from the looks of it, he’s been approved to perform in Beijing on April 25!

Though an official announcement has yet to be made, a stop in China does make sense. Mars will be in Asia this spring as part of his 24K Magic World Tour, which has been ongoing for nearly a year and earned him the title of Stubhub's touring act of 2017. Asia stops for the 24K Magic World Tour have been confirmed thus far in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Macau.

According to his tour schedule, there is a nice little gap between his performance in Taipei on April 17 and his show in Macau on April 28. Using our logic (and the fact that a performance license has been approved for Beijing) that leaves just enough time for one (or maybe more) performances in China!

The megastar has taken the world by storm since he first appeared on the scene in late 2009, crooning out the choruses on B.O.B.'s 'Nothing on You' and Travie McCoy's 'Billionaire' before becoming a successful solo artist the following year with the chart-topping single 'Just the Way You Are.'

He’s best known for crazily popular hits like 'Locked Out of Heaven,' 'The Lazy Song' and 'Grenade.' He released his third studio album, 24K Magic, back in 2016. Since then, songs like '24K Magic' and 'That's What I Like' have been wildly popular.

With five Grammy Awards and more than 130 million records, Mars is one of the most best-selling artists of all time. Not too shabby.

If he does in fact stop off in China this spring, it won't be Mars’ first visit to the Mainland. He performed in Shanghai and Beijing back in 2014, and you can check out our full interview with him here.

We’ll update you as we learn more, but for now it looks like this might actually be happening.
