Aug 18: Tom Odell

Millennials from around Beijing are sure to be swooning over this one. British mega star and pop piano favorite Tom Odell will be performing songs from his 2016 album Wrong Crowd right here in Beijing on Friday.

Aug 18: Thomas Schoeffler Jr.

Thomas Schoeffler Jr. quite literally does it all - at least when it comes to music. He'll be putting on a one-man show on Friday night, combining foot percussion, skillful guitar, bluesy harmonica and booming vocals. With influences ranging from Tom Waits to Joy Division, expect a diverse range of blues, rock and country tunes.

Aug 18: Frédéric Ledroit

French organ aficionado Frédéric Ledroit will be landing at Beijing Concert Hall this Friday. A proficient composer and skilled musician, Ledroit will perform pieces by Bach, Rachmaninov and more.

Aug 21: Cigarettes After Sex 

In the 40s, 50s and even into the 60s, an era some would call a 'golden-age' for American cinema, movies in the US seldom, if ever, contained any explicit sexual content. It became a theme, and later a running joke, that directors would write a scene of two lovers smoking cigarettes and wearing undergarments instead. This is why the band ‘Cigarettes after Sex’ has a legacy to uphold. These Cigs after Sex write drowsy, noir-ish dream pop, which the band’s label has described as ‘smoky’ and ‘eyes-closed’. You’re not getting passionate, sexy music; you’re getting the carefree and deeply relaxed aftermath of an intimate night.
