Dec 24: Talib Kweli with Live Band
There’s a lot of buzz around the Christmas Eve show at Blue Note for a reason: Talib Kweli’s going to be there! And the fact that he’ll be performing with a live band makes this show all the more intriguing. The iconic American hip-hop artist is known for his socially conscious lyrics. During his impressive career he’s performed with the likes of Mos Def, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. Dec 24: DDC Christmas Party
Yet another reason to bust out that ugly-ass Christmas sweater your well-meaning aunt gifted you last year. Where it with pride, sip on some mulled wine and rock out to some killer music at DDC on Christmas Eve. The Paramecia, The Harridans and Royal as Purple will perform. And DJ Bass Ventura will provide the beats.

Dec 24: Christmas Music Box - A Concert at the National Centre for the Performing Arts
In honor of Christmas, the National Centre for the Performing Arts is hosting an evening of opera music. Many of China’s most well-known opera stars will grace the stage for the occasion. Dec 25: Christmas Mania Punk Night @ School Bar
Who’s down for a punk-infused Christmas? Because School Bar’s going full-on punk for the big holiday. Seventies-inspired punk band The Circus, melodic-punk group Stay Gold, pop-punk trio 0190, funk-rap-punk band Funky Monkey and hardcore punk group FanMianEr will provide the tunes. Get ready for some true Christmas mania... School Bar style.
