Details are still sparse, but we do know this much: Tough Mudder is coming to China later this year.

You can choose which city will hold China's first sludgy extravaganza on the official Tough Mudder China website. Options are Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and ‘Other,’ if you deem your town worthy.

They will announce specific dates for their thunderous Chinese debut next month.

Tough Mudder, which claims to be the "toughest race on the planet," is a series of 8km and 16km courses that has participants make their way through obstacles stretching over several miles of mud, cold water and more.
