Appreciate the first half of the article. Very interesting read. Were there perhaps different holidays celebrated in different parts of China before 1911 or were the big four Festivals all over the country? But after "So why not Hong Kong?" it seems it lost track. So why not HK? Also, it would be nice with Chinese characters/pinyin for all the traditional holiday names.
