If you like to get a bit wild and crazy on the weekend, then look no further, as Shenzhen is lining up an absolute doozy of a party this January.

One of the world’s premier hardstyle events, The Sound of Q-Dance, is coming to the city this month. With top acts like Ran-D, Gunz for Hire, Reko and plenty more prepared to grace the bill at ReBorn755, this event is shaping up to be one of the wildest electronic events to hit Guangdong this year.

Gunz for Hire

While the acts represent some of the best that hardstyle has to offer, Q-Dance have also lined up three very different and very unique stages, each representing a particular core value of the hardstyle genre.

The first stage, dubbed the Clown, follows the theme of an insane carnival – what a trip! The chaotic atmosphere that Q-Dance is known for is referenced in this carnival-like stage, all while a gigantic, beaming clown looks down upon the audience.

The next stage is modelled after the Greek villian Medusa. Perhaps best known for her turn as the stony-eyed scourge of Mediterranean mythology, Q-Dance are painting Medusa in a different light, how gracious of them. They bring out the best aspects of the snake-haired gal, accentuating the lesser-known enchanting and mysterious side of her personality.

The third stage combines elements of the first two, and is aptly titled Mr. Fear. All three of these stages sum up what hardstyle is about: fun, excitement, exhiliration and nervous energy. If you like dance events with more than a little twist, then this is not an event to be missed.

The Sound of Q-Dance combines what many believe to be one of the best and most passionate fanbases in the world with high-octane, high-tempo music, as well as stunning light and laser shows, to create one cohesive and fantastic viewing experience that aims to shake you to the core (in the best possible sense, of course.)
