Sat, Dec 22: Unchained Christmas @ Oil Club
Another great event from drum and bass unit Unchained as they bring in Hong Kong-based Taku Hirayama and Russian artist Black Barrel, amongst others. Black Barrel's bass music is fast, has a light touch and feels, overall, like a very ordered representation of chaos, whilst Hirayama has a broad range of influences that take in house, techno and more.

Sat, Dec 22: Elephant Gym @ B10 Live

Long before math rock was fashionable, Taiwanese band Elephant Gym were planting the seeds for what has clearly been a musical shift towards that very technical genre in recent years. Their latest album Shuidi showed off the band’s range, as they allow bass guitars to jam at the forefront of their tunes, while also experimenting with bells and atmospherics.
