October 24: Stand-up Comedy Night at King's Bar
Host Mohammed Magdi, winner of this year's Bangkok International Comedy Festival, is visiting from Shanghai to bring a raucous night of jokes. A ticket (RMB50 at the door) not only gets you entry, but also RMB20 mixed drinks all night long and a chance to win in multiple lucky draws.

October 26: Chris Garneau Concert
Garneau’s music walks the line between Americana, folk and pop, creating a sound that is also infused with a bit of humor, earning him a place on TV’s Grey’s Anatomy, Black and Blue and other television shows. He has toured extensively and is coming to Shenzhen with his unique music.

October 27: DJ Honey Dijon at Pepper Club
Honey Dijon has made a name for herself in the international underground electronic music scene with a sound that blends American and European sensibilities. The globe-trotter, who splits her time between NYC and Berlin, will bring the party to Pepper Club this Friday.

October 27: Cross Border Matchmaker Mixer
This will bring together Western and Chinese manufacturers, suppliers and platform runners to create new business opportunities. The event will see a speaker room and matchmaking room where businesses display products or services, while looking to make the connections that will help them go global from China. October 28: Learn Hapkido Self Defense at Wutong Mountain
Instructor Daniel Pinkowski will host monthly, free-to-attend classes on hapkido, a Korean martial art designed for self-defense. Pinkowski is a Grand Master in hapkido and has over 50 years' experience teaching it, including stints working with police departments in Gary, Indiana, and Chicago. In Chinese tradition, the ninth day of the ninth lunar month is typically celebrated by climbing mountains, visiting ancestral graves and drinking chrysanthemum wine.
