In China, June 1 is Children’s Day, a chance to celebrate youth, innocence and making messes other people (probably) have to clean up.
While you may no longer be a child, you were at some point in the past (unless you are Benjamin Button, in which case youth is still to come) and to help you reminisce – and turn up the nostalgia level a bit – we are asking our readers to share a childhood photo on WeChat Moments with the hashtag #thatsminime.
Why would you do such a preposterous and potentially comical thing? Well, for prizes – obviously.
This time, we can offer one lucky winner a The University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen Hospital children's body check-up consultation at the IMC (International Mediacal Center). In addition, the good folks at The University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen Hospital are also offering three more check-up consultations to the winners of our Children’s Day lucky draw (details in the sponsorship section below). There is also a weekend buffet dinner voucher at Café Zen, Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen and a RMB200 food voucher from George & Dragon.
To participate in our campaign of childhood memories and hopefully-humorous photos, complete the following steps:
1. Share your favorite childhood photo (must be of yourself, no images of your neighbor’s kids please) on WeChat Moments with the hashtag #thatsminime.
2. Screenshot your post.
3. Send the screenshot and original image to our official WeChat account with your name and phone number. Submissions close Thursday, May 25, at noon.
That’s Shenzhen will hold a WeChat vote with 10-15 of the funniest images from 1pm Saturday, May 27, till 6pm Tuesday, May 30. Submissions are open now, so find that funny photo and get posting!
And, of course, a massive thank you to our sponsors:
