First, a thank you is in order. We asked for photos and you guys delivered. Delivered hundreds of awe-inspiring photos, that is, snapped with your smartphones over the past few months.
While we wish we could feature one from each of our contestants, we’ve narrowed the pool down to 20 photos for our semi-finals in a number of categories, all of which are featured on our online WeChat voting platform that opens today.
Now it’s your turn, dear reader, to vote for your favorites (or your best friend’s pic, we won’t judge).
The 12 photos with the most votes on our WeChat platform will be exhibited at our 2017 That’s PRD Smartphone Photography Contest awards ceremony on Friday, April 7. Finalists will be granted free entry as well as a chance to win a Huawei P10 smartphone and tons of other rad prizes!
Voting only takes a minute, just follow the simple steps below:
1. Follow our ThatsGuangzhou or ThatsShenzhen official WeChat accounts.
Voting via ThatsGuangzhou will be open from 6pm on March 29 until 6pm on March 31.
Voting via ThatsShenzhen will be open from 6pm on April 1 until 6pm on April 3.
2. Message the word ‘vote’ to our account.
3. A link will pop up. Click it.
4. Scroll through the amazing images and select your favorites.
Click ‘提交’ on the bottom right to submit. You should see a green check mark and ‘投票成功,’ which means your votes were successfully submitted. You can only submit once.
5. Share the post and encourage others to vote!
We will add up the total number of votes for each photo on our ThatsGuangzhou and ThatsShenzhen accounts to determine the 12 winners.
Stay tuned for the epic awards ceremony from on Friday, April 7! Everyone is invited to check out the exhibited photos, mingle over appetizers and drinks, join in a lucky draw and explore the hidden art space on Party Pier from 5.30-9.30pm. An after party will follow.

Tickets are RMB100 presale and RMB150 at the door and include entry to the event, free-flow beer, snacks and a chance to join in our lucky draw to win fabulous prizes!
