Celebrate this New Year’s with live music in a drug-free, family-friendly environment at the last Midi Festival of 2015 (and the first of 2016).
Organized by Beijing Midi School of Music, the Shenzhen New Year’s Midi Festival will take place on December 31, 2015 and January 1, 2016 at the Universiade Center of Longgang District in Shenzhen.
Enjoy four stages of musical prowess, including Tang, Song, Kid’s Midi and the ‘Small Stage,’ where nearly a hundred musical groups from China and around the globe will put on the biggest live New Year’s rock concert in southern China.
The event will host bands from across the PRC, including Miserable Faith, Reflectors, Suffocated, Sound Toys, Scar Constitution, Army of Jade Kirin, Great Scientist, Twinkle Star and Loulan Box, among countless others. In addition to domestic bands, the festival will also welcome groups from around the globe, including acts from the US and Japan.
The Kid’s Midi stage will offer visitors a glance into the future of music in China, with a diverse array of young performers having fun and making music. This area of the festival also offers games and dances for both the young and old (dance grandpa, dance!).
Fans of local music can check out the ‘Little Unplugged’ event, featuring emerging bands from Shenzhen and the surrounding areas.
Festival tickets are now available, RMB150 presale and RMB180 at door for a single day pass, and RMB260 presale and RMB320 at door for two day passes. Tickets can be purchased on Midi’s official Taobao shop or via the Midi hotline: 4001-100-100.
