Who is Shenzhen’s number one DJ? It’s not an easy question to answer, but it’s one the Homegrown Mixtape Competition 2015 aims to answer in the coming weeks.

Shenzhen deck-masters (that think they have what it takes) are encouraged to upload a 30-minute mixtape to www.mixcloud.com or www.youku.com and submit the link to the HomeGrown official WeChat account by 10am December 15.

Participating DJs stand the chance to walk away with a grand prize of 20 red pieces of paper adorned with Mao’s face – otherwise known as RMB2000. In addition to the cash, a number of other prizes will be given away, including Skullcandy Headphones.

For DJs who don’t have a place to record their mix, Modern International Entertainment have been kind enough to offer access to their studio facility in Luohu District. For booking information contact WeChat ID: super_su85.
