The Hotelier Awards 2016 which is respectfully known as the "Oscar prize" in hotel industry has been successfully held at the Parisian Hotel Macao on 15th December 2016. More than 400 hoteliers came from the Greater China region and the ASEAN region to participate the ceremony during that night, Marco Polo hotels group as one of the biggest winners, won five awards in total. As the Deputy General Manager and Owner Representative in Marco Polo Shenzhen, Ms. Yan Manping has won the Owner Representative of the Year Award in the Greater China region in associate with the Hotelier Awards 2016, moreover Ms. Yan has been regarded as the first person who won this remarkable prize in Shenzhen.

Ms. Yan Manping has been working in the hotel industry for more than 30 years, and she has been recognized as an experienced leader and hotelier. She worked at Human Resource department in Haytt and many brand hotels before she join in the Marco Polo team. In 2008, she had been invited to be the owner representative and deputy general manager, since then she has committed to expand the business of the hotel, including increased RMB 13,200,000 annual revenue for the Nishimura Japanese Restaurant of the hotel, its high quality ingredients, newly designed dishes and high standard service soon became famous and turned into a symbol of high grade Japanese cuisine in Shenzhen. Meanwhile, she launched Nishimura Japanese Restaurant Shekou with her team in 2016 which has received favorable responses from many customers. Moreover, hotel has completed many critical tasks under her leadership, such as hotel star rating and inspection, renovation of hotel guest and conference rooms, official reception work of 26th Shenzhen Universiade and much more.

Furthermore, Ms. Yan is also known as the Star-Rating Experts for Guangzhou Tourism Bureau. She uses her experience and knowledge to participate in many hotels star-ratings, hotel industry forums and conference. Besides, she love to share her experience and understanding of hospitality, additionally her research on Young Generations in Hotels won the best paper award and also brought practical direction to hotel and industries.
