November 8-11: Swan Lake by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo
French choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot reinterprets this pillar of classic ballets with his personal vision of Swan Lake, taking a different approach which adapts mixed media and a variety of dance styles. In narrative, costume and corps de ballet configuration, the changes are evident. Performed by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, this modern-day version of Swan Lake is promised to be a memorable spectacle.

November 9: Sean Nicholas Savage×Molly Nilsson×Better Person
Sean Nicholas Savage is a Canadian singer-songwriter and influential member of Arbutus Records and the Canadian indie music scene. Molly Nilsson is a Berlin-based, Swedish singer and producer, while Better Person is the stage name for Adam Byczkowski, a Berlin-based, Polish musician. At T:union, these three talents will converge for an awesome night of jams.

November 9: Peking Opera Night
Come on out for this show, which features sections of four famous Peking operas. If you haven’t had a chance to see what China's most famous cultural heritage is all about, this will be an opportune occasion.

This Finnish production is a one-man show centered around a piano, with the musician too focused on impressing the audience with his skill to realize his true performance is the comedic catastrophe unfolding on stage.

November 10: Paul van Dyk at Electric Wonderland (Hong Kong)
Three-time 'World #1 Mega Superstar' DJ Paul Van Dyk is headed to Hong Kong for the Electric Wonderland festival. There, he'll perform live for more than two hours, mixing hits with samples of his latest album. In case you need convincing, the DJ has gotten a Grammy nod, remixed for Batman: Dark Knight and has been called the World's Greatest DJ by Forbes.

November 11: GF Singles Day Race
November 11 is Singles Day in China, but that doesn't mean you have to be lonely! Join Global Friendship's Singles Day Race this Saturday, November 11 from 2-6pm. While racing to 11 different checkpoints and completing challenges at each, you'll experience the cultural diversity of this city and get a taste of local history as well as music, dance and fitness from around the world. November 9-13: Exclusive Dining Experience with Michelin-starred Chef
The Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou is offering ravenous foodies the chance to dine on top-tier delicacies this month, from November 9-13, at its Ebony restaurant. Italian Michelin-starred chef Stefano Baiocco will showcase an array of unique culinary creations, including salmon salad with avocado, zucchini and cucumber and quinoa soufflé and grilled beef entrecote served with salad and herb rolls with a scented citrus fruit consommé (among numerous other ingenious dishes).

November 11-12: Guangzhou International Performance Festival
Guangzhou International Performance Festival will be held in Zhujiang New Town’s Huacheng Square this week. There will be three amazing shows to catch: a song and dance performance, swing dance by Swing Canton and a finger-style guitar performance.

November 12: Werner Bartschi
Werner Bartschi’s interpretation of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt is spontaneous, communicative and exciting. Born in Zurich in 1950, his repertoire includes works from the late renaissance to the modern times. At Xinghai Concert Hall, Bartschi will play a selection of classical maestros’ work as well as his own compositions.

Until November 13: A Journey
Hailing from a Palestinian village, Burhan Amer had to leave his land of birth when a child. In 1979, fate brought him to China, where he spent nine years before moving to Belgium. For Amer, China is like a peaceful harbor, filling him with hope. This exhibition, titled A Journey, displays colorful paintings through which Amer conveys his reflections on life.
