December 26-31: The Art of Gongfu Tea
China boasts a long-lasting tea culture, in which the art of brewing different varieties of tea has been practiced and perfected. From black tea and oolong to white tea and Pu’er, the techniques utilized in the brewing of different tea leaves vary. To learn more, head to the Zhenfuxiang Tea Shop daily from 9am-7.30pm. December 27-28: Magician Lawrence Khong
When American illusionist David Copperfield made a 7-ton jet disappear in front of live audiences and television viewers around the world back in 1981, people were mesmerized. This week in Guangzhou, you too can have such a surreal experience when renowned Singaporean magician and levitation master Lawrence Khong astounds you with his magic performance. Watch as he makes his model and own daughter vanish, before summoning her back to the stage seconds later. It’s sure to be an exciting night, so don’t miss it!

After three years of successful countdown events, Grand Hyatt Guangzhou is eager to bring you another wild party to ring in 2017!
