Looking for something unique this New Year’s? Look no further than the neo-classical metal band Haggard. With all songs written by their brilliant vocalist and guitarist Asis Nasseri, Haggard combines classical and medieval music with metal elements. With more than 10 musicians comprising the group, the band released their first album in 1997 – And Thou Shalt Trust… the Seer – lauded as a melting pot of death metal, classical, folk and medieval music. Their second album, Awaking the Centuries, is about French astrologer Nostradamus, and their third album – Eppur Si Muove – is a tribute to Italian scholar Galileo Galilei. On New Year’s Eve, Haggard will perform brilliant works from their brand-new album Grimm in Guangzhou.
