Arriving with its 13th edition this November, Guangdong Dance Festival is an exchange platform for contemporary dance artists the world over, while also considered China’s platform for the domestic growth of contemporary dance.
Every year, choreographers and dancers hailing from around the globe gather in Guangzhou to give a vibrant injection to the city’s art scene. This year will see artists from a total of 11 countries, including dance-powerhouse Israel and some first-time attendees such as Lithuania, Sweden and New Zealand.
Running from November 10 to 20, this 11-day contemporary dance carnival is to offer audiences over 20 performances in Guangdong Performing Arts Center Theater, Guangdong Cantonese Opera Arts Center and Guangdong Song and Dance Theater (Click here for specific programs and here for tickets), while other programs, workshops, flea markets, exhibitions and games are scheduled for the public in Shaheding Cultural Center.
