The name of this new Cantonese eatery in the Taojin block on Jianshe Liu Malu is a homophonous play on an old Chinese phrase Xiezhu Longen (谢主隆恩) , literally meaning ‘Thank you lord for your grand offers’ (a customary response to acknowledge the offers from Chinese emperors). Arriving at the door, we are well received by one of their staff, handing us lunch menus, and behold through the door a green, Chinese dragon with a dim-sum-basket body, a frippery that we learn costs the owner RMB100, 000 to fashion.
