Yesterday it was a sandstorm (and a shockinly high AQI) and today it’s incredibly strong winds. There’s never a dull moment when you live in Beijing.

The winds have been so strong today Beijingers have taken to social media and posted some pretty incredible videos demonstrating the sheer force of today’s gusts.

While some of the videos are pretty comical, the wind has caused all sorts of damage around the city. Debris has catapulted through the sky, windows have been shattered, severe traffic jams have been reported and numerous trees have been uprooted.

The extreme wind is also responsible for multiple injuries, South China Morning Post reports. One taxi driver suffered head injuries after a tree fell onto his windshield. A man was also reportedly severely injured after being hit in the head by a falling brick in Haidian earlier today.

It looks like the wind has died down at least a little bit, but in case you were cooped up indoors all day you can still check out all the wind madness for yourself.
