This week marks the occasion of The Dragon Boat festival. And around this time every year the renowned independent music company, Tree Music, holds its annual Ai World Music Festival. Much like the festival’s title implies, this music event is all about celebrating musical styles that span nations, cultures and history. The aim of Ai is to combine culture and humanity with music.

The 2016 Ai World Music Festival will be held at The Post Mountain from June 9-11. And the lineup is as impressive as it is eclectic. Each act touts a variety of musical styles and instrumental abilities and brings a unique talent with them. This year’s artists include jaw harpist and flutist Wang Li; Moroccan-American musician, DJ and multimedia artist Hatim Belyamani (of Officerfishdumplings); Tuvan throat singer, guitarist and composer Albert Kuvezin; Chinese folk artists Wild Children and so many more.

June 9-11; RMB120 (presale) / RMB150 (door) / RMB300 (package), The Post Mountain, see event listing for details.
