Djang San has released 35 albums. Talk about prolific. And now he’s back with his latest one, which will be celebrated with a concert on Thursday at Yugong Yishan. Djang San’s music spans all genres, so it remains a mystery what this latest release will sound like!

Thurs May 26, 9pm; RMB100 (door) / RMB70 (presale). Yugong Yishan, see event listing for details.

May 27: PK 14 Showcase Show

You know what you’re getting with PK 14. They are pretty much legendary in China. However, opportunities to see them play live are rare. So check them out at School Live Bar this Friday night.

Fri May 27, 9:30pm; free entry. School Live Bar, see event listing for details.

May 28: Beijing Calling Volume 4

The last round of Beijing Calling was way back in 2008. But the concept hasn’t changed. The whole idea behind it was to give a new generation of Beijing bands an opportunity to perform on bigger stages. Up-and-comers The Big Wave, Penicillin, The Diders, Heat Mark and LaiSee will all be performing on Saturday at School Live Bar.

Sat May 28, 8:30pm; free entry. School Live Bar, see event listing for details.

May 28: Spesbols Festaruol

Sat May 28, 9pm; RMB60RMB (door)/RMB50 (presale); DDC, see event listing for details.
