May 26: Djang San Album Release Party
Djang San has released 35 albums. Talk about prolific. And now he’s back with his latest one, which will be celebrated with a concert on Thursday at Yugong Yishan. Djang San’s music spans all genres, so it remains a mystery what this latest release will sound like!

May 27: PK 14 Showcase Show
You know what you’re getting with PK 14. They are pretty much legendary in China. However, opportunities to see them play live are rare. So check them out at School Live Bar this Friday night.

May 28: Beijing Calling Volume 4
The last round of Beijing Calling was way back in 2008. But the concept hasn’t changed. The whole idea behind it was to give a new generation of Beijing bands an opportunity to perform on bigger stages. Up-and-comers The Big Wave, Penicillin, The Diders, Heat Mark and LaiSee will all be performing on Saturday at School Live Bar.

May 28: Spesbols Festaruol
Things are undoubtedly going to get wild at the Spesbols Festaruol at DDC this Saturday. The Forbidden Puking Unicorns (yes, they wear masks) will be headlining. The Blue Moon, Thruoutin. Parachutes on Fire and Wang Shengnan will be performing as well.

May 30: Seas of Years
Hailing from Stockholm, the band Seas of Years is nearing the end of their China tour. They are currently promoting their post rock LP The Ever Shifting Fields. Check them out on Monday at DDC before they head back home.
