Greatest moment ever?
July 12, 1998 – we won the World Cup against Brazil 3-0 at home. Zidane scored twice. As the commentator said, “After that, we can die peacefully. As late as possible, but we can!”
Greatest moment in Euros?
When we won the Euro in 2000, against Italy, amazing scenario, amazing goals. The magic of football.
Worst moment ever?
Ah Materazzi… World Cup 2006. We thought this one was for us. Zidane ends his career on a red card, we lose on penalties. At this moment, you become someone else…
Worst moment in Euros?
Euro Cup in 2012, we got eliminated in the group phase. In my memory, we didn’t win any game… Frustrating when you wait two or four years and that happened.
Where you and your countrymen (and women) will be watching it in Beijing?
Wherever I can. I won’t miss any game.
Song the fans sing?
Aux armes, citoyens!
Formez les bataillons!
'La Marseillais,' the French national anthem. When we all sing it together, it’s epic.
Biggest rivals?
Italy: for the history. And England: well, for the history too.
Star Man?
Pogba, great midfielder, young and talented. Hope he can show all his talent during the Euros.
One to watch?
Martial – he has been playing amazingly well with Manchester United. Coman as well, from Bayern Munich.
Bad Boy?
Hard to choose, all of them almost have been either kicked out or not selected (Benzema, Nasri, Ben Arfa…). Then, I would say Koscielny. He can loose his temper sometimes.
Boy Blunder?
From the current team, Patrice Evra then. One of the guys who destroyed the group in 2010 in South Africa.
So what are your chances?
We will win it! “L’espoir fait vivre.”
ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!!
