Woodwind quintet is a musical expression in which five wind instruments, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn, are played together. The establishment of this form has undergone a very long evolution, and the composer has put a lot of exploration and effort into it.
The Woodwind Quintet is the most difficult one in the chamber music ensemble, and the String Quartet is different from the Brass Quintet, the materials and shapes of the five instruments in the Woodwind Quintet are different, and it is extremely difficult to "harmoniously sound" to make these five instruments with completely different timbre and different pitches combined together. As a result, woodwind quintets are very rare and are even called by professionals "chamber music ensemble forms that should not exist". However, because of its great difficulty, once the "impossible" of the combination is properly combined, a very magical "chemical reaction" will occur, making the music diverse and colorful.
At 10:30 on September 9th, five young performers of the China Symphony Orchestra will open our ears with a woodwind quintet, let us feel the wonderful sound of several wind instruments colliding together, and listen to the beautiful melody of autumn!
