Originally from Andalusia in southern Spain, Chef Miguel Casal Zapata spent much of his culinary career working in Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain, including El Lago in Marbella, Ramón Freixa in Barcelona, and Aponiente in Andalucia. After landing in Beijing in 2016, he became the executive chef for Migas, overseeing the kitchens in Migas’ Sanlitun and China World Mall venues.
