The food was superb, the freshly shucked oysters and the seared scallops providing a real taste of the ocean and you could immediately tell these were high end products. The scallops especially were probably the best I have had in Shenzhen and the sauce they were in can only be described as divine. I wish I could have it on everything. The star was the steak, which is what one would expect from a 'Beef Bar'. Cooked to perfection, it was so tender, just falling apart in your mouth. It is slow cooked and everyone agreed it was a fantastic piece of meat.

Salt and talk in Seaworld Shekou is a popular and well run restaurant. It mainly features North American food such as pizza, taco, burgers, BBQ and so on. It also does a great weekend brunch. The staff and owner are very nice and it is a good dining experience. They have specials every day, and also have a great milkshake selection as well as guest beers on tap. It has lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Gecko pizza and burger is a relatively new restaurant to hit the SeaWorld scene. Having already been established in Dongguan this is now trying to break into the SZ market Specializing in pizza, it also has a wide range of North American classics to choose from such as taco, burgers, kebabs, steaks and more. The pork schnitzel is an interesting addition and something you don't see at many other places. But overall It is a good place, good food, big portions and reasonable prices. I would recommend it

Shenzhen has no shortage of parks, In fact choosing which one to go to can be a task in itself. One of the newer ones to pop up in the city is Honey Park. Built around 1 year ago this slice of Futian greenery is well worth your time to check out. As with most SZ parks, it is impeccably green and devoid of litter, a testament to the staff who are working there. It’s not the biggest of parks, you could walk around it in an hour or so, but it has a lot of nice features to it. As is typical with parks there is a small pond/lake, it’s the focal point of the park and sometimes you’ll see some ducks swimming along. There is a good size rose garden, with a plethora of colours and shapes to suit all floraphiles, these are usually in bloom in some form or another all season long and make for a colorful walk. 20190429_153204 There are lots of green spaces for you to sit and rest and plenty of benches under shady trees too. There is a nice walkway bridge which gives nice views of the p

Very solid fish and chips near Chegongmiao. The owner is a local who lived in Australia for many years. Simple QR ordering system with English and food is served very fast The deep fryer is hot because the fish is crispy and not oily. The fish fillet is boneless and its seabass. I'd prefer cod but that would push the price up dramatically. The portion is big and the price good. Fish chip and drink for under 50 Also has fish fingers, fried oyster, fried prawn and more. It's all deep fried so don't expect a health kick. The boss is super friendly and chatty. Some outdoor seating and decoration is simple Overall very satisfied experience and I'll be back in the future.

The wine choices here are extensive, and luckily we had a knowledgeable staff member on hand to assist us, and with several bottles of wine being imbibed, everyone was in good spirits. We sampled 6 dishes of food, with some dishes being familiar and some not. The ‘confit de canard’ being the star dish, it was so tender and juicy. The ‘carbonate flamonde’ and octopus dishes also deserve a mention. The olive dish divided opinion. The food was great, especially the sauces on some of the dishes, one table even asked for bread to soak up the sauce. However overall, the portions were on the small side and the presentation on one of the main dishes wasn’t what was expected.

An area with lots of graffiti and murals. Nice to explore and take pictures. The area is in decay with most F&B now closed down. But still worth checking out

Tap & Co is a cool little spot often underappreciated by the expat community. It’s located in One Avenue mall and has a range of craft beers and bar food. The beer range is pretty good with JingA being my favourite The bar food is good, pizza especially. At 48 RMB its awesome value and tastes good. There are also salads, taco, pasta etc. It’s a good spot for an after work beer
